Mini Shoulder Practice - 33 Minutes
33 min: Shoulders, upper back, and heart center are the focus for this mini-practice. Feel free to sit on a chair or extra cushion. We'll move from seated to standing to lying down prone and supine to access your shoulders and rib cage from all directions. Variations are offered for folks with foot and ankle issues to move carefully in and out of the poses mindfully.

I've been teaching yoga since 2004, after graduating from Eight Limbs Yoga Center in Chicago with an RYT200. In 2006, I received my RYT500 from The Temple of Kriya Yoga, and after completing over 10,000 teaching hours, became an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500). In 2010 I became a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider when colleague Kerry Maiorca and I created and launched our 200hour Yoga Teacher Training program at Bloom Yoga Studio in Chicago, of which we're on our tenth consecutive year. I grew up in Washington, and after living in Chicago since 2002 have returned to my home state where I continue to train and host continuing education for eager students and teachers. My studies at university in neuropsychology, medical anthropology, anatomy and nutrition inform my teachings and inspire me to dive deeper into modalities that deepen connection with community and nature, as well as the more subtle aspects of a peaceful mind, body, and spiritual life.
